Trophy from IELTS Spirit

In South Asia, many understand and speak the English language. However due to the vast differences between West Germanic and Indo-Aryan languages, it ends up being quite a challenge to master the pronunciation and fluency to the level of a native speaker. That is why most IELTS scores received in this region are typically around 6.5 to 7.0.

Personally, growing up exclusively consuming western media, I became thoroughly accustomed to the language. Thus, when it was time to do the IELTS test, I was able to achieve an overall score of 8.0 without much trouble. I was aiming for an 8.5, but due to the paper being quite a bit harder than the practice material, I ended up falling a bit short on the reading section. Also, I have no doubt I'd achieve a 9 in the speaking section if it wasn't for the fact that they asked me to talk about something I had never experienced in the que card portion.

Even though the final score wasn't exactly what I had hoped for, it was still the highest in the IELTS class batch I was a part of. In recognition of this accomplishment, the institution's owners decided to present me with this trophy, serving as a lasting reminder of one of my notable extracurricular achievements.

*NOTE: They misspelled "Sarker" when writing my name on the trophy.
